Garbage
is beautiful
Garbage's
latest release, Beautifulgarbage, gives you an audio kiss on one cheek
and a slap against the other neatly packed in thirteen tracks. With
her seductive and at times sinister vocal style, vocalist Shirley Manson
pulls you into Garbage's world. The electronic tinged music of Duke
Erikson, Steve Marker, and Butch Vig keeps you there.
Old and new Garbage
fans alike will be able to find tracks worthy of their stereo's repeat
mode within this release. As with Garbage's prior releases, this third
installation is a mixture of both edgy tunes and slower selections.
Like an auditory amusement ride, the CD moves from tracks that packs
a punch, such as the opening track Shut Your Mouth to others like the
hauntingly beautiful Drive You Home. Androgyny, the radio single, leans
to the more electronic side while Breaking Up the Girl falls into the
band's usual rock based sound.
Tracking in at just
under an hour, Beautifulgarbage, the entertainment provided by this
disc is far from over. With adding a multimedia element, Garbage has
included a mixer that is accessible from ones computer. Within mere
moments of loading, one can be happily remixing several featured tracks.
With its blend of rock selections and interactive computer extras, this
CD is definitely worth tracking down.
