Full Rolling House Stone

They have done it again. Yes, I am talking about Rolling Stone. It is not that I am totally against the magazine - had a subscription for years actually. I am just once again by their choice of cover story - the Olsen twins. Yes, you read right, the Olsen twins, the "You got it, dude" duo who brought all TGIF fans Michelle Tanner + numerous videos, money making adventures, etc.

I must say that I have nothing personal against these two. I watched Full House religiously when I was younger. I think younger is the key word here. I am out of the loop now. With all their fans, the average age must be somewhere in the high school underclassman age give or take, they have built up a pretty nice empire. Goood business skills w/ that family. I'd gladly take the money though I'd have to win the lottery for that much of a fortune.

That might be a good idea though - win the lottery, buy Rolling Stone and put Janine in charge of it. I trust her enough even w/ her crazy Frames addiction. (j/k) I'd still have a say of course but I'd be too busy running my label and venue. (It's a DREAM people, stop laughing at me. This would be in the world that never has places close and all that other non-fun stuff.)

Ok, ok... enough of my tangents... back to the matter at hand. I remember when music magazines were actual music magazines. Bits and pieces on movies and video games? Of course - soundtracks for both so they count. 20 odd pages devoted to them... hmm NO. I am looking for a giant deally on some game/movie it would be cool to read BUT if I was looking for something like that I would go to a gaming/movie magazine or more likely something online. ( I am trying to cut down my packrat - lets save way too many magazines even though you don't have room for them and have thrown out waaaay too many in the past 3 yrs that you should have gone through and cut out the desired articles/tab in the first place - situation. I must say I have been doing well.... again w/ the tangents. yes, I know. lol. )

Maybe next month they will have someone good on the front and I will actually want to pick it up and see what is inside. I know people always say not to judge a book by its cover (and this time it is literal) but isn't that what marketing is all about? Perhaps that is just what they are doing and turning into a pseudo version of Tiger Beat but hiding it well.
